When I was at my insomniac worse, between 18-20, I used to watch this on channel five at about half four in the morning. Knew it was time to sleep when the theme tune started playing.

 

Some proper hounds in that show though!

When we were kids my mother used to always have the Andy Williams Show on. You knew when the music to Moon River played at the end of the show that it was the end of the weekend.

 

A bit later in life it would be The South Bank Show I guess.

That program was responsible, Prisoner Cell Block H, for one, weed induced, fear I had. There was one episode where one of the lags put a razor blade in a bar of soap and left it in the showers. Anyhow's my sleep deprived cannabis addled mind starts thinking about where else they could of put the blade, my mind leaps to toothbrush! Four hours I laid there, stoned off of my box, imagining what it would be like to brush your teeth with a razor! It was like the scene from Eraserhead where they cut the chicken and the music kicks in, fucking horrible.

 

Vinegar tits was responsible for me getting the fear in a big way.
