What do you make of that strategy?

TBH I don't know really. I do know that by not offering english players the option to play down the league with their own clubs, coaches, philosophy etc puts them at a disadvantage compared to Spanish players.

6th place get it now aswell don't they? City have Champions League football so I thought their Europa league spot from the FA Cup isn't needed?

Probably wrong about that though.

Stoke will get it should City win the cup

Sixth would only have got into the Europa if:

a: Man City won the FA Cup and

b: Man City finished 5th, and therefore failed to qualify for the UCL. They would then qualify for the Europa as FA Cup Winners, and 6th place would then get the spot, as the next highest league finisher not already qualifying for European football.

As Man City will now finish 4th, and get UCL football, Stoke get Europa League Football, as the highest placed FA Cup team, not qualifying for the UCL. The result of the final is now academic to that.

So Stoke, Along with Birmingham, for the League Cup, plus whoever finishes 5th, gets Europa League Football.

Come Sunday, that should be us!

If Carroll comes back into the team, who makes way?

Meireles looks like he's injured.

Yeah - Kuyt can go to the right, Maxi the left.

Should really have some sort of tifo for this one, being the last home match of the season and all. Maybe one celebrating the King's return?

In any case this will be a cracker. Last game of the season - and an important game for both teams. Anfield will be buzzing.

BBC Sport - Kenny Dalglish is a legend - Harry Redknapp

Glowing praise of Kenny, the club, and us as fans from Harry Redknapp.

"I HAVE the utmost sympathy for Reds owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks. All they seem to have done is plough a fortune into the place and stand to lose a fortune when they sell it.”

“Hicks and Gillett wrote cheques for Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt,” added ‘Arry, trying to justify his argument

“I’d love to know what the two Americans have done that is so wrong,” asked the Spurs boss.

Although he has a genuine respect for the King, he is probably trying to cover the shit he spouted back in October.

This will be a tight one - Spurs are pretty decent at raising their game against top five opposition from outside Salford, and have won at Arsenal and Chelsea this season. While we should emerge victorious if we keep to our recent level, given their utterly dire form of late and the fact that all the hype surrounds us, there's a perfect storm brewing for an fortuitous away victory.

The key will be shutting down Modric, the one Spurs player likely to feature tomorrow who would walk into our team no questions asked. Nullify him and they tend to fall apart. Luckily Kenny rates him extremely highly so I'm sure that will be part of our agenda.
