There's a trick you can do with old CRT (tube) type monitors and TVs, where you reverse the polarity of the signal going to the horizontal scan coils on the tube which turns the picture upside down.

 

Perform the mod, turn the telly/monitor upside down and leave it switched off in the corner and wait for your mate to come home and turn the telly/his computer on. Much hilarity ensues.

I did something similar to this. My mate isn't good with computers so I pressed ctrl alt and down arrow and it switched his screen. Took him a good few hours to sort it.
