I think the fact that there are more Spanish players playing overseas takes away some of that Barca/Madrid rivalry they had in the camp in the past.

The bitterness in this thread from the clueless clowns who talked down Alonso`s importance for the team is a bit sad.

 

One of the best midfielders in the world and probably the best performer in midfield so far in this WC could easily be replaced and was actually not all that because the demigod rafa thought he could replace him.
