Just read the blog tribute to the big man, brought a tear to my eye, especially the bit about he'll leave without a League winners medal, especially when you consider some of the utter shite that have multiples of them down the road. Aside from the obvious reasons, wanting us to win it for Sami would have been the dream end to the season.

 

Thanks Sami, a true legend who epitomises what this club stands for and up there with Digger and Kenny in my opinion.

Most good Reds get sexually excited when they see Torres' nubile limbs, but the sight of Sami's chiselled, granite jaw just gives me a kick and the heart rate goes up. Whenever I see him in the starting XI, there's no fear; I know we'll be as hard to beat as th very best in the world, becuse Sami IS the very best in the world. Whenever I think of Sami, one word always flashes across my mind and that is ROCKSTEADY. He's the proverbial brick wall, the immovable object that gives the irresistable force a run for its money.

 

When the dust settles, I think I consider Sami to be my favourite Liverpool player of all since I started watching, nearly 20 years ago. Good luck chap and hurry back.
