Absolutely awful treatment of one of the greatest men to represent this football club. The new manager, whoever that may be is in for a very, very tough time. We appear to have finally lost everything The Liverpoolway stood for. Shocking.

What Kenny has done. Would that be taking a totally demoralised club with a team bordering on the relegation zone, given the club it's identity back and moved the team into the race the champions league places and a cup semi-final, playing the best football we have seen for quite a few years along the way. Doing all this without our best and most influential player for the most part. Also without the lure of champions league football. Dear me i do despair sometimes, yes some of the signings haven't worked out, they don't always, and they certainly won't find their form sitting on the bench. Things aren't perfect but we are heading in the right direction, give the man some time, fuck me!

It is very early to judge him, and i dont think anyone can say after 20 odd games if he will be a success or not, however what you can do is judge his performances so far, which quite honestly haven't been good enough and on those performances if everyone is fit he shouldnt be in the starting eleven. With Torres injured though he will get a run of games, preferably not playing up front on his own because he just looks completely lost in that role. Heopfully against West Ham Rafa will go 4-4-2 and partner him with Kuyt or Babel, personally i would like to see Babel given a run so they can both prove themselves and get some confidence. Anyway we have a chance to get our noses in front tonight without having really hit top gear so stop moaning and get behind them all.

Was listening to 5 live after the game, and the difference in after match debate between that and the agenda driven garbage spewed out by Keys on sky is incredible. Alan Green saying that Masch is the best palyer in the world in that position and was awesome on the night did he make a foul all night? Also saying that despite all the pressure Arsenal had Pepe only had to make a couple of saves. Green, Pleat and Mike Ingham all saying it wasnt a nailed on penalty and what about the one at the other end when Torres was dragged down from Reina's kick. They then played part of Wenger's interview bitching about the penalty, with Kuyt and Babel both defending deep at times, they just dismissed him as whinging Wenger. Very enjoyable listening to be honest!

Nothing to do with last night, but i think Sami Hyypia deserves a mention for rolling back the years. Played far more games on the trot than i thought he could and has in my opinion been superb.

I kind of agree with RIS regarding rotation, the media etc have become obsessed with it, and it is a very easy criticism to make. He has had sucess with it in the past, so you cant blame him for sticking with it. Rotation is not responsible for the dip in form of Gerrard, Carragher and the abysmul performance from Momo. Since Rafa has been here it seems to me we are always better in the second half of the season, possibly because the rotation in the first half of the season has kept the players fitter than other teams. If we get can 4 or 6 points out of our next two league games then there will be a totally different attitude and rotation will be forgotten about for a couple of weeks.

I pressume he made that statement when he was asked about rotation. Well, there are only so many ways he can answer the same question, and he is hardly likely to come and say 'rotation is bollocks and it is the sole reason we havent won every game we have played this season'. I would imagine there are a number of reasons for the current dip in form we are in. Rotation might play a part in it, Paco's departure might also play a part in it, the loss of Agger and Alonso is certainly playing a part in. I am all for a good discussion, but sensationalists saying we should fuck Rafa off out of it, sell Gerrard etc, etc is hardly good discussion. Rafa has his faults, but he has his pluses as well, I would imagine he played a major part in getting The Chief, Alonso and Torres to the club, i have read whether or not O' Neil or Strachan would get more out of the current squad, well personally i dont think they would have the current squad, as they wouldnt attract the players Rafa has.

It's not the worse draw, as already mentioned the French league isntof the greatest quality, if we have throughts about winning anything this year then teams like Toulouse should not been seen as too much of an obstacle. Also dont think there is any need to rest players it's so early in the season and there would have been a league game anyway when the first leg is due to be played. We now have a huge squad and it should be able to cope.

Still cant talk this morning, once again the team and the fans show what is all about to be Liverpool. Watching it with my girlfriend last night who is a Grimsby fan, but last night she was in tears when we won. Rafa sir, you are a legend.
