"I am not surprised [at United's yellow cards], the referee is there for this," said Scolari, the Chelsea manager. "If players do not respect him, it should be yellow and red cards. It doesn't matter who you are - Liverpool or Manchester United, whoever. It was strange that he [Riley] finished the game when he did but we need to accept his decision."

Big Phil after the game, why did he mention us?!

Obsessed? yes I'd say so. This is the most obsessed thread for trying to find an issue with a throw away remark I've seen in quite a while.

I'm sure if he'd said Man Utd and Arsenal, someone else would be on complaining how it was typical of Chelsea trying to pretend we are not a big club.

Actually, he may be subtly comparing the treatment of Mascherano at Old Trafford last season (and Ferguson's endorsement of it) with the United players in this game, both their lack of respect for the referee and the failure of Riley to send off Coke Head.

he was refering to Mascherano, who got a red for lack of respect and obviously a Man Utd player would never get that

Scolari's interviews are very good if you listen to them

I think he was mate.

Scolari looks like he should be outsdie some tapas bar but the man has so much football knowledge its unbelievable. His interviews are good, because he's new he drops things in that makes a slight stir but not a jose tidal wave. By doing this people are lefting thinking do you think he was refering to....or did he mean this .... by saying that. I think he'll be good for the english game. He won't be as defensive as Jose either so they'll drop points more points than everyone predicts this year. Yesterday Bosiga and Terry got found out on a couple of occasions. Plus that Mikel isn't as effective as Makele so they haven't got this sheild anymore.

Tell you one thing though, he's right about Riley stopping the game when he did, Ferdinand nearly decapitated the Chelsea player (can't remember who it was, Khalou was it?) at the end, and the Camel gobbed fucker thought he was off, and Riley knew he had to send him off, that's why the shithouse blew when he did!

Also criminal was the fact that MotD 2 never even mentioned it or showed it in the highlights when Hansen was licking Ferguson/Ferdinands arses.

The amount of toadying the BBC are doing to get back on Dementos good side is fucking sickening.

I was in the supermarket earlier and saw the back of the star. It said something along the lines of 'Rio in the Dock'. The story said he might be in trouble for his antics at the end of the game and blah blah blah. The bit that got my attention was to do with what happened at the Bridge last year when he kicked the woman steward. According to the star, it said that the FA still haven't handed out any punishment for that, even though it happened in fucking APRIL!

Is that true? And if it is, how can the FA justify that?

Didn't he buy her some forecourt flowers? Apparently she thought they were a huge bouquet and was extremely disappointed when her double vision wore off.
