Is football not a game of entertainment? It seems not after this showing. Quite possibly one of worst football matches i have ever had the displeasure of watching. It's managers like Allardyce, with their overly cautious approaches to games who ruin it for the football loving public. At least everyone can be pleased in the knowledge that Newcastle's fruitless search for a trophy will continue for yet another season. For the good of the game, i firmly believe there should be a rule to have people like allardyce banished to remote desert islands, as far away from any football ground as possible.

You say it like you're surprised?

In one corner we have Sam "hoof it" Allardyce and in the other Martin "belt it long" O'Neill.

If any of Allardyce's teams have ever played football then you can knit treacle.

Awful game, even so i thought i heard them booing at the end. 2 games into a new managers reign and they were booing! WHY AYE, BEST FANS IN THE WORLD LIKE.

To be fair would you prefer to watch a side win the grand total of fuck all at least trying to play a standard of passing football akin to the conference or watch an ale house side of cloggers and hoofers win fuck all?

There is a difference between two heavy-weights fighting and two guys in fat-suits slugging it out.

Recent Chelsea-Liverpool series at least offered great tactical battles even with few goal mouth actions, both trying to gain an advantage in the midfield. If anything, they were very intense.

Newcastle U - Villa was just a bad football game.
