A few months ago before this shitshow kicked off I was out in the car and I had Radio 4 on, and it was the run up to the Tory leadership fight between Johnson and Jeremy Cunt, and the BBC reporter asked some Tories who they would go with, and this horrible old cunt said "well I just want someone to make me laugh, so Ill go with Boris"

From that moment it was obvious we were completely fucked

Good grief man, it's only an election. At least wait and see if Armageddon ensues before you sink into despair. You got through Thatcher, you can get through this.

And you have pretty much outed yourself there. Its only an election. You can get through Thatcher....you have no idea what some people are going through....but its  "you" and not "me" or "us". You are beneath contempt and I wont look at you anymore, yoiu are a child of Satan. And dont reply you are ignored.

What the actual fuck?

If I've outed myself as anything, it's as someone who tries to make a person like Gnasher, with whom I vehemently disagree, feel a bit better when he's clearly down in the dumps.

If that gets me put on ignore by people like you, so be it, you witless cretin.

Well, turns out that the 'Towns Fund', which was basically £20m going to seemingly randomly-selected list of 100 towns, yielded half of them becoming Tory gains, announced back in October.

£3.6bn they spent on that vote winner. Though when I say 'spent', they haven't actually given out any of that money.  The 100 towns were asked to apply, and the government are still paused on moving to 'Stage 2', which will give more 'guidance'.

I fully expect a new budget to be set, and all of these promises to suddenly vanish.

I mean, I don't blame them.

They play the game, and they win, they know their audience.

One thing that gives me hope though, is Dominic Cummings.

Some of his blog posts have an undercurrent of socialism, improving things for everyone, and we all remember his true view of the Tories, which was repeated during the election campaign.

I wonder if he might be an important figure in this government, and if he lent his expertise to them in exchange for more power to dictate policy.  After all, we know that Boris doesn't have any policies, he's not interested in large scale reform, he clearly doesn't understand many parts of the public sector.

I think some Tories might be agitated by Cummings, he's a weird fish, but these fuckers are in his pocket now.  He made them, and if they fuck him he will think nothing of switching sides and destroying them.  He's a fucking prick, but maybe he might surprise a few people.

Personally I think the only thing we can cling to is Johnson's majority and ego. He will want to go down as a great. I don't think he's aligned to anything politically, he's just aligned to himself. He will want to win a 2nd term and will know he doesn't have Brexit to cling to then and will want to keep those seats from the traditional labour voters, so I expect some if not all of the investment he's promised. It's not much to cling to and without doubt we will see him have give aways for corporations and the rich, but I genuinely think health, the police and education will at least be funded at better levels of the last 10 years. I have no doubt though he will happily fuck this city as he does so.

State punishment for those who would like to actively participate in a peaceful act of political expression. Chilling.

I still recall people on this very website baulking at the use of the term “fascism”, but, unless you’re historically illiterate, all the hallmarks are present
