There was clearly £60 million set aside for VVD as well. Klopp has scoured the market and come to the conclusion that only VVD in global football can improve the quality of our back four.

I think we could buy one of the better Championship sides CB pairings and we'd be immeasurably improved.

If that is genuinely the situation then that decision/others about our defence will more than likely cost Klopp his job sadly.

This has to change and no matter what you do with these players at the back they will continue to fuck up time and time again and undermine our efforts until they are replaced by better players.

We were whinging that without Mane we were fucked, that was as big a problem as any last season and was addressed with Salah. We do not have the funds to address all problems in one or two windows, and by the time a fourth window arrives a new problem has arisen.

It will take time and a bit of luck, or a sugar-daddy to compete with the other sugar-daddies.

Bollocks.

TV money, ECL money and all the rest.Just about every team in the PL has outspent us.

The anti-Klopp nonsense on here is almost as bad as the rancid rants about Koeman that the gutter rats are spouting.

A lot of it is knee jerk yes, but it's becoming the norm now, our defending is. It's very hard to rationalise why we're so bad at basic defending, never mind defending against top opposition. Klopp hasn't touched the defence really and it's this ineptitude is what's giving most of us consternation. It needed to be sorted in the summer. What transpired was atrocious.
