bread cake.

I have always found this to be the weirdest name for it. It's like someone thought let's describe this in 2 words, one of the words should be 100% accurate, the other 0% accurate.

That’s the Yorkshire way.

Apart from the 100% accurate part.

A mate of mine and I went to Manchester and we went for breakfast. He ordered a full English and the lady asked if he wanted it on a Barm, in a full Manc accent. He was so confused and asked her to repeat about 4 times. We had to translate and he begged if he could just please have it on a plate like we do in the south

I've always known soft bread rolls as barm cakes or baps, either or. Crusty rolls are cobs.

Call me a nutter but I have always called bread rolls 'bread rolls' or if I am feeling flirtatious, sexy and dangerous, just 'rolls'

People call them what they call them. At the end of the day it's just a butty. Smaller in size but thicker.

You Southern weirdo's don't even sell gravy in your chippies though. Or is that just London?
