i dont wish to critisise GH for the sake of it but i knew kirkland had a history of back problems when he was at Coventry ,did any of the staff at anfield not know.I hope chris goes on to be a great keeper for us,but for one so young he dont halve miss some games, knee injuries and broken fingers are just bad luck, but a keeper with a bad back is not to clever

HJC FundRaising - Awareness Night [saturday 13th March 2010] HJC FundRaising - Awareness Night [saturday 13th March 2010] The Regency Derby Lane Old Swan Liverpool L13 6QA 13/3/2010 I've booked The Regency function room in Derby Lane ( L13 ex Piano Bar) for Sat March 13th for a HJC fund raising night. The room can hold up to 300 people, but to get an idea of the expected turn out, and to give The Regency an idea of how many staff they'll need on the night, this event will be ticketed, and ideally people will buy tickets in advance, though they will be available on the night ( if supplies last!) I've booked The Scottish Scousers to play, who …

Liverpool's official website has once again been voted the best Premiership site on the internet. In a survey carried out by the FA Premier League, Liverpoolfc.tv came out on top in the list of all 20 top flight clubs. As part of a wide ranging survey, supporters were asked to grade their own club's website and not compare it to that of rival Premiership clubs. With a score of -2 being very poor and +2 being very good, Liverpool fans have given Liverpoolfc.tv an average rating of 1.28. Liverpoolfc.tv are always striving to bring Reds' fans closer than ever to Anfield and their Anfield heroes by providing the best possible news content, interviews and match ac…

I wouldn't say a particularly interesting article, but good to see Robbie's still got his enthusiasm. BBC News - Thai football club hopes for Fowler power Thai football club hopes for Fowler powerBy Guy Delauney "Fowler to United." Even in a summer of intriguing transfers, this was one move which was bound to raise eyebrows. But when the United in question turned out to be Muang Thong rather than Manchester, heads were scratched, brows furrowed and Wikipedia hurriedly consulted. Robbie Fowler is one of the most prolific strikers of the past 20 years, standing at number four on the list of the English Premier League's all-time leading goal-scorers. …

anybody like to do the honours? I only caught the last 15 mins cos i was playing football. I was surprised to see Dudek in goal but i later found out it was only because Reinas missus was giving birth, delighted to see mascherano make his debut and Fowler get a brace and play 90 minutes.

by Dave Usher for ESPN Liverpool bounced back from last week's disappointment at the Emirates by comprehensively beating hapless Fulham 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Anfield. To coin an old football expression, Martin Jol's men were lucky to get nil, this really was so one-sided. The Reds totalled 32 shots compared to Fulham's four. Premier League games don't get much easier than this one, but you have to put the work in to make it that easy and Liverpool certainly did that. The passing, movement and inventiveness in the home side's play caught the eye, but just as important were the relentless pressing and intense work rate that never tailed off at any point …

Lyon now want £17m for this malouda. Personally Im glad they've stuck such a huge price on him as it means we'll look elsewhere. The player himself seemed intent on having a bidding war on his wages claiming 'other clubs must match his ambition.' Yeah, right. Do one yer twat. http://liverpool.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=890&p=2&stid=8449000

Short one this week as there were only a handful of games, one of which was ours and has already been covered. So four games to get through, starting with the return of my boy Ivan Toney against Forest. Cracking game. Danilo volleyed Forest into an early lead but Toney levelled in contentious circumstances. Firstly, it looked like a dive by Damsgaard to win the free-kick, but the thing that had Forest so angry they wrote to PGMOL about it (I’ll get to this) was Toney moving the ball a foot to the right to give himself a bit more leeway to bend it around the wall and into the bottom corner (which he did, superbly). It’s not just that he moved the ba…

Putting a few things together from various current threads such as: Somone 9sorry can't remember the who posted it) praising Rafa for his "off the field tactics", the ongoing will they won't they sell saga mainly Diddymans (unlikely) claim that he was privy to a meeting between G+H and potential buyers and Bascombes most recent article Got me thinking (in true conspiracy theory form) could Rafa be keen to get a new contract signed quickly because he knows something we don't about the sale of the club and wants to make sure his job is secured before a change of ownership? Obviously the longer the term left on his contract the greater the compensation would …

Red rivals chase Kezman Sunday, 07 December 2003 Both Liverpool and Manchester United are chasing PSV Eindhoven star Mateja Kezman according to officials from the Dutch side. The Serbo-Montenegrin international is one of the most sought-after stars around in Europe and United and Liverpool have been linked with moves for him before. PSV's technical director Frank Arnesen has now named Gerard Houllier and Sir Alex Ferguson as firm admirers of Kezman, and says that both the Reds and Red Devils are among the clubs clamouring for his signature. The 24-year-old bagged four goals for PSV on Saturday to enhance his reputation and Arnesen says that they wou…

Quotes from Didier Deschamps after the game last night: -------------------------------------------------------------- "I'm not happy about one or two things that happened out there," he said. "We knew we were playing at a higher level and lots was expected but we didn't deliver. We lost out in all areas of the field and defeat was the only result there could have expected. "We did not make many chances and were forced to defend too much. We were put under pressure sometimes last season in this competition, but I do not recall us being forced to defend as much as this. "We lacked a certain amount of aggression and technically we let ourselves down. We…
