It is distasteful, but the word 'mong' gets used on here quite alot, I have no hope of making people see the connection between the language they use and the way people think. Saying Paci or nigger is accepted to be wrong but people think it's ok if people are born with a disability or incur one throughout life to label them a name which makes them seem less of a human. And the beauty is they often can't fight back.

That colinwanker caption above is the lowest I have ever seen people sink on this forum. Being offended might be passe, and pussyish and a bit wet, but where do you draw the line? It's been drawn for racism so why not disability. Some of you make my skin crawl.

I'm not having a little hissy bitch fit. I'm just pointing out that it was a horrible 'joke'. I'm not the type of person to pull someone up for making a joke about Hodgson or slagging him off, as that would be massively ironic considering my previous form, but that caption was a disgrace.

I don't think I've mentioned Bascombe on here in over a year and the only reason I would have mentioned him is because I met him at a wedding party. the comedian Jim Jefferies recently started opening his shows as being 'Spaz Approved'. The reason being, he was hired to do a show for the spastics society. When he pointed out that he regularly takes the piss out of mongs and spazzes, they said "We know. You're the only one that makes fun of us to our faces, and we love it."

 

Turns out things like that make them feel like a normal member of society, instead of people pussy-footing around them on eggshells. A bit like norwichlfc, who has a disabled sister and finds nothing wrong with the post.

 

 

If you're offended by the post because you don't like it, fine. If you've appointed yourself as a shining beacon of morality on behalf of everyone else, and feel it's your job to tell someone they should be offended by something when they're not, you're a mong.

The two kids in the photo are clearly disabled

 

The joke is

 

Roy is the slobbering mong, not as you would expect, the two kids.

 

Its a play on assumptions, and therefore, not a dig at disabled people, but a dig at the twat we have as a manager.

 

 

Now, if you need any further assistance, perhaps how to use the muscles in your face to smile instead of frown, or how to see the light hearted side of life as opposed to the doom and gloom that is PC, feel free to ask.

I'm none of those, nor am I the moral police. I think if you look back, you're the one who is trying to tell me where my moral compass should point. I've not lectured anyone on the rights or wrongs of mocking disabled people. Carradonna said that he thought the joke crossed a line. I agreed with him. The person who made the post did not. I'm not trying to tell people where their moral compass should be, I'm just saying that I don't find it funny and I think it's a piss poor joke and made in bad taste. I'm perfectly prepared to laugh at bad taste jokes. In fact I've made plenty on here myself. I just ideally like it to be a joke of some description before I find it funny.
