Best way to deal with this is by winning and not letting him score.

If he scores and we end up losing, I have no idea how miserable and angry I will be for a whole week after.

I'm not sure. Part of me wants us to win 4-1 with Owen getting the 1 in the 92nd minute so he leaves the pitch to ironic cheers. Micheal Owen scored a goal halle-fuckin-lujah.

will he play if Rooney is fit? could be much ado about nothing

I fully expect him to be on the bench. Ferguson will bring him on. He loves to wind us up. Especially if they are winning he'll bring him on for the last 10 or so just to rub our noses in it.

If that does happen I hope no nut runs on the pitch and belts him...then again.

I recall being banned from several forums when Owen played for us. I said then that a weak Houllier bought into the media hype about him and tried to curry favour with the public by making him an automatic selection (when he was fit) and to justify that he denigrated Fowler and forced him out.

I also said that the presence of Owen meant we missed having a forward who could contribute to build-up, distribution and holding the ball. It meant we needed a lampost forward like Heskey to take the pressure of him and bounce balls of his head, arse and elbow for him to run unto. And this in turn meant we needed to hoof the ball far too much. This suited Carragher and Gerrard fine who were both too much under Owen's influence and too much in awe of his self-marketing.

It also meant we missed almost 50% of the penalties Owen took. Owen also had the highest ratio of misses to clear-cut chances of any forward in the Premier League.

His highest total of 19 league goal in only one season (including penalties) never justified the exaggerated praise and wages he was afforded.

They were my footballing reasons. I never mentioned that I also happen to have been acquainted with him since he was about 15 when he lusted after a positon at Man Utd (as he has recently confirmed...sort of).

In my opinion he was always a self-centered little snot and I could never understand why the supporters could not see that.

Jughead would be fit for this game even if he was dead.

Colleens baby is due on the same day as we play United and I am sure I heard or read somewhere that Rooney apparently has said that it doesn't matter who United are playing he wants to be there for the birth of his first child. I remember Ferguson got asked about it the other week in a press conference before a game and he said quite bluntly ''I haven't spoken to him about it''.

There may be trouble ahead.....

He probably will play but I wouldn't lay odds on it though.

That's an interesting read.

I hope Owen burns his toast on sunday morning! Ha!

Or even worse, gets a phone call while eating his cereal and when he gets off the phone its gone all soggy.

Or to put it more honestly, I hope he trips over his own over inflated ego and falls into a bottomless pit of shame and depression that enevitably ends is him as a disgraced urine soaked has-been lyin in the gutter in manchester, his new home that he loves so very much.

there was a few mancs saying we should recognise what he did for us etc blah blah. Load of balls. Hate the selfish little shit. I wanna take a crap in his mouth.

haha. Lets see if Ronaldo comes back to Old Trafford anytime soon. I'd say they will be very welcoming and they will recognise his goals that helped them win 3 league titles in a row. Irony.
