1. Yossi - got to be. I don't care how long he was on the pitch or what else he did or didn't do. When the chips were down he banged it in. That could prove to be the most important goal anyone's scored for us in twenty years.

2. Xabi - instrumental in our composed, controlled and aggressive attacking display.

3. Gerrard - just kept plugging away, leading by example.

 

 

I agree with all of that, especially the comments. Xabi was my MOTM until Yossi scored, and after that I just don't see how anyone could pick anyone else.

1. Yossi - God I love him. He's got some of the magic dust in him. He's starting to show it more and more. Massive bargain at £5m or whatever it was. Hope the rumours about him being sold are just that.

 

2. Alonso - dictated play. Class personified

3. Insua - LB all of a sudden is a really strong position for us. Him and Fabio will be really battling next season for first pick. Looked really good coming forward.

4. Gerrard - it would be wrong not to mention him. Not at his best but still enough brilliance to remind you of his quality.
