Haven't read the comments on Karius tonight. He conceded from a free kick that didn't look a free kick to me. I thought he was at fault, at least partially, as his starting position was too far over, so he had a lot of ground to make up. The ball didn't go anywhere near the corner, but still he could get a hand on it, much less save it.

 

Besides that, the only other thing I remember him doing was a decisive header when he came out, which was good. But the goal he conceded, while not a glaring error as such, didn't look convincing to me.

The fact he’s so bad I’m actually wanting Mignolet to come back in and start for us makes me hate him even more.

Only problem I have about the goal is that nobody at the club(coaches) has shown him how to position himself and set up a wall properly. Its something that a few keepers still do by trusting their wall too much and not compensating their position and moving too far across their goal. If he'd have stayed in the middle of the goal he'd have saved it even though it was a well struck free kick. This chopping and changing goalkeepers isnt helping anybody though.

Our back 5 is shit and to have any hope they need to all play together as much as possible in the hope they miraculously form a unit.

 

I can't believe we pay no attention to the basics. No spine and no settled defence. Enormous blind spot.
