Seems like a good move for him. Now hopefully Saunders fancies Adorjan or Coady as well.

He needs to be away from Inglethorpe and anyone else who thinks he can play in the centre of defence, so it's not all bad.

Lots of reserve players play out of position for periods to help their understanding. In a few games this season for the first team Robinson has looked uncomfortable when coming inside to mark someone or cover the back post (most obviously vs Oldham) so giving him a run there makes sense.

Be interesting to see what we do at LB in the ressies now. Robinson gone, Smith and Pelosi out for the season...

Flanno can fill in there if he's nearing fitness, I guess Maguire will get a chance and maybe O'Hanlon will step in at U18 level. Maybe Dunn/Quirk will get another run back there.

Saunders was bought three times by Souness. If that doesn't deserve a "fuck off", I don't know what does.

There is a bilious sneering from the Sky generation completely at odds with our traditions.

Saunders only had one season with us, but scored 23 goals, and was the first player to score four goals in European competition for LFC, a feat unlikely to be repeated by the current side for some time.

We should celebrate the achievements of the past- not deride them.

Saunders was gash. I remember watching him every week. Well done for scoring 4 against a really shite Sion side. I could have scored 6 against that side.
