I'm absolutely sure we'll see loads of media coverage condemning this...

Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore)

@talkSPORT LIVE

"Its never your fault, always the victim, its never your fault"

Coming from away end as United fans kept behind.

its okay the supporters trust will just make a statement saying it was with regards to the days refereeing decisions

Almost like clockwork there it is.

1 Liverpool fan ejected for aeroplane gesture. 5,000 cunts sing songs. According to Sky this was caused by the Liverpool fan, who wound them up. They were singing the songs before that but obviously Sky have to get in that we started it.

Utterly utterly unbelievable.

Nah after. All caught on camera. And its not a minority, sounds like its probably 80% of them.

Fucking coward scum cunts.

Obviously the 1 from us gets the majority of the grief from the reporter. Despite him contradicting himself by saying chants were heard during the match. Some how they will find a way to make us responsible for that too tho.

Yep, fucking disgusting whoever did that, i'm sure those who saw him will duly deal with him including the club.

Similarly, Man United fans were disgusting today, or at least a large portion of them. Quite sad on a day about JFT96 we have the media covering up the despicable behaviour of those travelling fans.

The clubs should check the cameras and name and shame them, and then see how much Manchester United really care about justice.

Seriously - why can the club not get out the footage and give it to the FA and Man Utd and force them to deal with the matter, whilst publishing an official statement of disgust?

We have every right to do that and every single one of those "fans" should be punished, including the cunt making aeroplane gestures.

Was there a Villa fan doing the aeroplane wings in April when the cunts started singing it in response to the Villa fans singing Justice For The 96? There probably was because Sky said so, so there!

We all knew full well, what these cunts are capable of and the blatant disrespect of YNWA in our first home game since the report came out is just a sign of what they're all about. They're always quick to shout and cry about other fans giving them the Munich songs (which are fucking vile) with the full backing of the media and yet they can sing what they please and the club faces nearly no retribution from the press or the FA. Until they start that long overdue slide they'll get away with whatever they please.

No doubt MUST will say that Collymore is a liar due to being an ex Scouser and the song was aimed at him for lying about such things because he's bitter about Liverpool losing and the press will lap it up.

agree 100%

it takes 1 fan to label all of us as the same tomorrow in the papers it wont be about the game or anything else other than this 1 mindless fan that was supposed to kick all this off

according to Collymore the stadium was empty apart from United fans, who were being kept behind as a police safety tactic. So have Sky said how exactly a Liverpool fan was able to wind them up from outside the ground? Or have they moved on?

I got to the ground late today so dont know about much before kick off. I got in at about 1.20 . Didnt here any mancs songs about Hillsborough or during the release of the balloons to be honest.

The only time I was a bit angered was when they sang 'Where's your famous munich song?' as if to provoke a response and them singing 'We won it 3 times.'

Havent seen anyone doing aeroplane impressions tbh. Just wtf is it with some people?

Ban them? Seriously. We should speak to the FA and in the media and say that we are not happy for United fans to come to our ground anymore. Make it high profile. If they can't help themselves today, they never will be able to.

We should look after our own fans and not have them subject to that bile by not a minority, but the majority, of their away support. They can save their efforts for singing about us then for when we go to their own place, if they let us, or, as they normally do, when they play one of the other 17 teams in the league.

There are NO CORROBORATED reports of the "Liverpool fans doing the Aeroplane" action by ANY journo at the ground. This was first reported by a MANC fan in answer to Stan Collymore on twitter after Collymore had reported the United fans singing.

Let's not just take it as Gospel that there was any Liverpool fan doing this until it is confirmed.

BBC Sport - Liverpool & Manchester United make Hillsborough tribute

Analysis

Phil McNulty

Chief football writer, BBC Sport

"The occasion had been impeccably observed by both clubs and by both sets of supporters until the game's conclusion.

"With the stadium virtually deserted except for the Manchester United supporters kept back in their section of the Anfield Road end, there was a brief outbreak of the chant 'Always the victims - it's never your fault'.

"It ended after a few seconds with unconfirmed reports that it was prompted by some provocation.

"The United fans were then kept back for another short period before being allowed to leave Anfield.

"It provided a blot on what was an otherwise solemn and dignified occasion but should not detract from so much of what else went on during a day when the Hillsborough families and victims were remembered."
