Man Utd vs Chelsea

Sorry to create a post about the Mancs, but was just wondering if anyone else saw the same game that was on my Sky Box the other day. I've read two newspapers (including 'The Times') and watched two recaps of the game, and not one person has even suggested that Ruud Van Nistelrooy dived to get Robert Huth sent off.

Are the media this scared of Manchester United that they won't point out the blindingly obvious? If that would have been El Hadji Diouf or even Emile then they wouldn't have shut up about it. Even the normally excellent Andy Gray hurriedly rushed over the subject.

Was it me? Or am I just so biased that I've convinced myself that he dived?

Actually, I think Huth did bring him down and deserved to go. He'd had some clumsy challenges prior to that. What was more disgraceful was Scholes flopping earlier (he did get a yellow). That was blatant cheating, and if they want to put an end to this shite they shold be giving out red cards.

Must admit first time I saw it I thought it was a dive butif you look at the ref's position you can see why he gave it becuase he is trying to see past a couple of other players. Interesting that on the Sky review just now Alan Smith has said that 'it doesn't look as he got much of anything' when asked about whether Huth got the ball.

For me though the worst decision was to not send Scholes off for that dreadful challenge on Lampard after he had already been booked for diving.

Thats because the refs are still scared of the mancs. Even after the whole Rio-gate fiasco.

Scholes fully deserved to be sent off. Terrible dive, and terrible tackle. But he would have missed the cup final, so when the ref realised the card stayed in his pocket. Disgrace.

If it was a Chelsea player, they would have been off, simple as.

Alot of United fans who I have spoken to who were at the game, say that the body language of many of the players, including Ruud, looks as if they are off in the summer.

Giggs - class act, but does anyone else think he is past it. Don't think he influences big games in the same way as he used to.
