Ev reportedly after McGuire…a match made in heaven.

please make it happen. Holgate, Keane and Mcguire as a back three, world beating.

Even better with the youthful zest and energy of Young and Coleman on the flanks.

The Guardian writers think they'll just about scrape through again. Sadly, given the quality of the promoted teams, they're probably right- https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/aug/04/everton-premier-league-2023-24-preview

Still, yet another season of grinding misery leavened only by Bill hanging around beckons. I wonder when the stadium delay due to lack of funding will get announced?

Every year we always think the newly promoted teams will be shit and go straight back down but usually at least one turns out to be a big surprise and punches well above their weight. That's all we need this year. Just one. If two of them are decent then Everton are truly fucked.

Lets hope that at least one of the rest isn't shitter than Everton then.

Unflushable turds.

They'll do just enough again this season.

Probably get some mancs cast offs/favourable loans that will just add enough to stop them from getting flushed.

The funny thing with them at the moment, they used to be a good home for lost souls. Some of them wouldn't work out, but some would and they'd get decent value from them which would make up for the crap ones. They'd normally get a bargain and all in all sweeping up the leagues and especially the mancs shite was a good policy for them. But over the last 12 months players just don't seem to want to touch them. Which I'm sure means they'll get more and more players who they might bring in but just don't cut it. It might be the money, it might be lots of footballers know just how toxic it can be there. Either way, it's making their challenge harder than ever. Luckily for them this is the shittest group of teams to ever get promoted. Luton and sheff united are both so bad. I would be amazed if Luton get 25 points.

Yeah....Sheff Utd are garbage as well.

Burnley might be ok...so then the other likely contenders are who - Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Wolves and maybe Palace?
