Whether he signed Cole to play centrally or not doesn't matter.

 

He is a better player playing from the left and it is better for us he plays from the left.

 

I'm pleased Roy has stopped playing him through the middle and has put him on the left.

 

Whts's best for the club not an individual player is what counts, same with Gerrard and Carra.

Merilis is a centre mid, this role is alien to him, his main attribute is his passing range and engine, he's wasted in this role. Joe Cole has only played off the striker 3 or 4 times, scoring 1 goal and a man of the match performance vs Rabontski
