Good result and performance.

That was a good result and another encouraging performance. Michael looked sharper, as did Kewell, and Gerrard was outstanding again. Baros looked right up for it once more and it was generally a nice little confidence builder against a poor side.

 

The one "but" was the defence looking slightly dodgy once again - Carra excepted. They'll hopefully play together until the end of the season but the two centre backs and Finnan really have to show they can cope with being more exposed as we try to play higher up the pitch. Finnan, especially, needs to start showing some form and he should take his substitution tonight as a kick up the arse to improve.

 

Looking forward to the next round. Who's left in? I wouldn't mind putting Celtic in their place after last season but is there a potentially better tie on the cards?

I'd love Celtic as it would be game to really look forward to and there aren't many left now this season
