I didnt realise he was that old to be honest. At that age he obviously needs to move on or be featuring 10-15 times a season. I appreciate Hermes that many players have left Liverpool;s academy that have not made the grade elsewhere, but I do think many have had their careers hindered significantly by reserve or 1st team fringe opportunities being bocked by the likes of Cheyrou or Luzi. Its all a case of speculation though, as we obviously dont know how things may pan out. I had a mate who played in the A team with McManaman and Marsh and 5 years after leaving was playing for Maghull reserves.

Its right to bash GH with it cos its a major mistake by him. He should of been given a change ages ago instead of playing people outta position. The same thing will probably happen to Welsh, Mellor and the rest. It sucks.

i dont see the point of having the academy if hes just gonnna let our promising players go without giving them a chance. It pisses me off, we might as well scrap it and give the kids their field back

Always weird this kind of debate. Some of the lads are really close to the Academy dudes and watch them regularly. By all accounts, it would seem that Warnock could certainly play a bit of footy so seems a shame. On the other hand there have been a number of lads who get released and never really do it in the lower leagues (or they find that is the level they are suited to).
