I hope you're right and some of them make the grade, and by that I don't just mean game time, haven't seen Nemeth.

Our transfers in the last 15 years have been frighteningly bad. For the most part its been turkey after turkey. And we don't make that much back on half of em.

To be fair Wenger is exceptional in this regard and its an unfair comparison, his sucess ratio is very good.

So Richard Wright (6m), Franny Jeffers (8m), Jose Reyes (8m), Giovanni Van Bronkhorst (8m), Davor Suker (6m), Lauren (7.2m), Junichi Inamoto (4m) were good buys for Arsenal? They made a lost

Arsene Wenger is a great manager whose club are good at spotting youth talent. However, generally he's no better than Rafa in terms of player transfers. He's just a better premiership manager.

Absolute nonsense. The big corporations tend to see things over a much longer period than that. There are huge companies who are prepared to lose money 5-6 years or even more before they start earning. And I'm not talking about the dot.com period when some considered it unprofessional to talk about profit.

errr...we aren't talking about turning a business' profitability around, JustTosh. In business terms, we are talking about an internal 'rebranding', turning the ethos, the practices, the way a company's individuals work together. If this has not been tackled within 12 months, those individuals lose faith. Believe me, I know about these things.
