This new show Kelsey is doing won't be the same without his Dad. Martin (John Mahoney)was great at bringing Niles & Frasier back to Earth from their self importance and sense of grandiose.

The episode when Martin moves in Niles is wonderful. I can’t find any decent clips but he makes some great faces as he grows convinced Niles is trying to injure him.

Just started watching it from episode 1. Don’t know how many times I’ve done this over the years. It’s still fantastic.

I don't think they've got an idea about this new show, which is why a couple of years down the line it's going nowhere. If they had a belting idea and script, it'd be done already. My guess is paramount have green lit it so grammer can't take it elsewhere, but they need to agree a cast and script, which as yet they've not done.

Should do a film where he's trying to avoid the reality that his son wants him to get a carer or move in with his family after a health scare. The ultimate attack on his ego, to become his dad.

Sounds really like it'll be a brand new show, like Frasier was to cheers. The actors from before will just come and do cameos. 

 

Plenty could be explored with Frederick and of course he might have more children. It's been about 20 years hasn't it? And he'll be retired.
