Dave,

 

You say Houllier likes Carrick, but with Gerrard, Hamann, Diao and Biscan in the squad, do we need a Carrick type player? We play 4 Centre Midfelders every game, surely we dont want to add to that!

 

Its obvious our next step should be in addressing the wide attacking midfield areas.

The main problem with Joe Cole is no matter how big his talent is he does not fit easly into one of the four normal midfield roles. He is also short and light do you still think GH will want him.
