Yeah, but its his aggressive tackling that causes his injuries. And thats what we need saturday, so its a risk that imho is worth taking.

Cant see us starting with two wingers either (unless Gerrard is on the left).

I agree would be surprised if Raffa went with two wingers but he has surprised me in the past.

If picking the lineup was hard last year, it is next to impossible this year.

I really haven't got a clue what team he'll put out, but I'd like to see Deadly Dirk and Crouchinho up front together. One's in a red hot scoring streak and the other will be desperate to score in this game. The Blueshite back line will find them almost unplayable as a pair.

Sure Crouchy will start, but won't last the whole game as he'll probably be a bit knackered. Robbie alongside at a guess, he'll be fresh. Nice option to have Bellamy and Kuyt to come off the bench. Rafa's allways one for surprises though, I bet Moyes's head is exploding.

That's the way I see it as well.

"It's now easier to approach the game using only the players who've stayed at Melwood, but we have so many players away they are all in contention.

"But the players who've played 90 minutes on Wednesday will not be in the same condition as those who haven't played for two weeks, especially with the game being played early on Saturday."

Probably mind games - Cant imagine leaving Gerrard out.

Dont think he's trying any minds games, he's just stating a fact to be honest. Gerrard and co will still play though.

Rafael Benitez said he will make a late decision as to whether fit again duo Jamie Carragher and John Arne Riise can start against Everton.

Both Carragher and Riise resumed training on Thursday and the Liverpool manager confirmed he will see how they are feeling before naming his team for the derby.

"All the players want to play and they say they are all 100 per cent fit when maybe they are only 50 per cent so I will have to decide who starts in the derby," admitted Benitez.

"We have a crazy schedule of games when for the next 12 to 13 weeks we are playing two games a week so that is why having a big squad of players is so important at a top club like Liverpool."
