Thing is once the leader is picked the tories wipe the board clean and the public forget what was written on it. Its astonishing how often you see what's the alternative or better than Liebour and all that shite

Sometimes you can't do that any more, the mood just changes. I was down about this till watching that debate on Friday. The audience was Tory swing voters and it was like it was at a labour party conference.

Yeah. It's clear conservatism is out of ideas.

Hearing them regurgitate the cooker cutter 'slash the state, lower taxes' stuff just sounds ridiculous given the current circumstances.

I think you're making a mistake if you think sunak is thick. He's a slippery cunt and he's cut from that Blair & Cameron cloth of slick before substance. But he's far from thick.

It's all relative isn't it? All of them must have shown some ability at something during their careers to get where they are.  But in terms of genuine intelligence, political nous and quick wittedness, every single one of these is lacking.

Very true, they are past masters of doing this. It get's more difficult to do over time, they'll have been in power for 14 years by the next election. There will be a desire for change. The stench of BJ's regime will be difficult for them to escape.

Ok

It's not 1997 any more.  In years gone by you wouldn't have got near senior politics if you were "thick" never mind one of the great offices of state. I mean, Liz Truss is Foreign Secretary.

And watching them crucify each other over which slashing and spending is just marvelous. And that's forgetting about the likes of Cunthavi last week saying he'd slash 20% of the state.

For sure they all seem to lack speed of thought, but I think in some cases it's because they're afraid of tripping themselves up.

The only thing that really matters at the moment is that replacing a Tory PM for  Tory PM hasn't worked for us for the last three occasions. This is not a reset.

Madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Mourdant came out with some proper Trumpesque lines. "legendary" campaign video? She has the lying down to a tee.

I think what she meant form that is she was slaughtered and had stolen a load of material she had no rights to, so had to get it recut. I think it was an attempt at humour.

I want her to get it the least out of all of them.
