More eye catching,definitely,but the beauty of Henderson is the work he does to allow others,including Thiago,to play to their best.

I think you'll find Thiago plays better when it's him, Fabinho and another midfielder who isn't Henderson in the team.  As does Fabinho.

I dunno, I reckon Fab, Thiago and Henderson is our best midfield. Henderson is the weaker of the three imo but is still worthy of his place.

I think the third player needs to be someone with guile and technique, able to make things happen in the final third.  Harvey Elliot, Oxlade, or even perhaps Keita, if he could ever stay fit.  Between them, Thiago and Fabinho have the nous and the tacking ability to manage the defensive responsibility, and to get the ball into advanced positions.  Henderson playing is not disastrous, it's just a bit sub-optimal.

Great angle to see Trent's shot and Dean is still in front of him at that point, as well as Shelvey and the keeper hasn't a hope of seeing it. To be fair, he hadn't a hope of stopping it whether he saw it or not. It's probably the fastest Dean has run in his whole life, and I'm only surprised his left hand behind him isn't holding his arse.

I’ve seen a similar photograph but at the point Trent actually hits it and the Dean was past him and the keeper could see him hitting it.

Correct. And when we signed Fabinho a lot of opinion said it was the end of Henderson yet he actually compliments Fabinho and still does. Thiago is third in line for me.
