As bad as Russia always have been, I am surprised how quickly they have become far and away the worst regime on the planet.

Come on, NATO are putting viagra in the Russian’s water making them rape children. We know because the old Vice President of Peru read it in a blog.

I would say, it is increasingly difficult to see what Russia still can realistically expect to achieve in Ukraine, other than overrunning Azovstal, killing and capturing remaining Ukrainian soldiers there and parading them in front of cameras as Nazis. It truly is an empire of absolute evil now.

I was watching a video that suggested their focus is now on the south and taking the entire coast. The problem I see with that is how they would realistically hold such a long stretch of territory. They aren’t exactly great at logistics to supply their forces. I reckon they take their gains to date and consolidate inflicting as much damage as possible.

For that, they would have to take Odessa, and they don't look capable of doing that, unless it is comprehensively betrayed from within. To hold and consolidate, they would have to downgrade the Ukrainian army to such level that they do not dare make any move against the occupied territories, which does not seem likely, and which the West is trying to tell them with all the weapons deliveries and public announcements of future deliveries, is never going to happen.

Not really sure what the Pope brings to this argument when you consider how many people have lost their lives in the name of religion and associated wars.

Pretty sure the Vatican invest in arms trading.

Yup, the worst war criminal in the world, religion. He should be one of the first put in front of a firing squad.
That is before even coming to the extortion, being a big part of women being oppressed for centuries. He is a fucking hypocrite and the faster we get away from the grip of religion, the better. Fucking cunt.

I am Danish, don’t care at all about some team in Scotland. But nice try at a dig, without knowing anything about anyone.

Agreed + 2.. Fuck what the Pope says, he may be in the top ten of the most influential figure's on earth but we should disregard an historic religious figure with over a billion followers and instead only give our ear to the Prez of USA and her political allies as they've brought us peace and prosperity in bundles over the years. I tend to ignore the do gooders preacing peace and wanting diplomatic talks and a political settlement and instead listen alternatively to the amateur generals on a football forum or a gas fitters mate from Manchester, working great so far.

Only a light hearted joke about  Rangers and religion in general brother ( not a very good one).  Hope you good, up the Danes.

There is a lot of activity west of Izyum on satellite fire maps. Apparently, Ukraine is now ready to attack Russian west flank there.

Find this thread pretty Interesting for the followers of what goes on on the ground.

I’d be happy to fit any of your gas appliances. I mean I’ve never done it before but what’s the worst that could happen?

I'd suggest anyone dismissing the Popes words/intervention on the crisis in Ukraine as a kind of irrelevance are very much wide of the mark. A fair few Catholic countries in the world.

I think what he said about patriarch Kiril is way more relevant, since it is, in more ways than one, within his field of expertise.

The pope at the same time deplored the brutality of the war and criticized the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church for defending the invasion in religious terms, warning that Patriarch Kirill of Moscow “cannot turn himself into Putin’s altar boy.”

Couldn't the Pope have a word with the fella upstairs and get this shit ended straight away or has he not finished enjoying the death and destruction yet?

It’s all part of god’s plan. Which is the same as a dogs plan but without so many kids getting shagged.

Properly true, but unlike some of the wise sages on here Hitchens has actually lived in both Russia and Ukraine and is 100% correct that the worlds political leaders are a bunch of fucking brain dead bozos so a political settlement is needed to..

A, prevent more innocent Ukrainian deaths..and B, prevent a worldwide economic depression unseen since the second world war.

And what settlement would that be? Just the Sudetenland or maybe more?
