Just trying to ride the middle groove man -- anyone too far out on either side seems really angry.

Watched a bit of the news before and it had clips of Gove and Raab speaking at the conference about how we’re leaving at the end of October, no ifs or buts. Both times there was a smattering of light applause from a few people in a half empty hall.

It’s what the country wants.

I'll tell you what, I think they are fucking determined to do it. They clearly have a plan to be able to avoid the Benn act or at least ensure they can run the clock down through court, so even if they have to extend in the end it plays to their vote winner of "people against the establishment" line they've stolen from trump.

I keep saying it, but if the opposition parties are serious about stopping no deal, they absolutely have to find a way to get behind someone to run a government and take these fuckers out.

The shame is they'll probably win an election because our electorate is thick as shit and only consumes the sound bite.

Aye. Say it enough times and it becomes the truth. “Surrender Bill. Get Brexit Done. Surrender Bill. 31st of October. Surrender Bill. Get Brexit Done. Surrender Bill.”

The shit coming out of their conference never gets challenged in the same way as other parties.

Claiming 25 billion will be spent on roads, 5 billion on Broadband blah blah blah. When asked where the money is going to come from they say Taxes and borrowing. No fucking real plan, just use some shite about record employment so more taxes to spend. People will still vote for them though, selfish pricks.

The trouble is, it's really hard to challenge them when they just keep lying anyway. Did you see Marr yesterday? Johnson didn't answer a question, Marr kept pushing and kept getting the same reply, which was just the surrender blah, blah that Johnson wanted out there. Angela Raynor comes on, he starts with the "is the language bad both sides" and she's just yes and I think we have to tone it down. Now if you're a fucking idiot, what you take from that is labour admitting the tone is wrong, the Tories saying it's not and you're a surrender supporter if you believe otherwise - so Tories good, labour bad. But what can Marr do? He pushed for honest answers, it's just Johnson and the rest of the Tories are just refusing to give them on anything.

Missed it due to a family meal. The same old shit happens on a daily basis though, mostly in the mainstream media where they sensationalise headlines knowing damn well that your average voter won't read anything with more than one paragraph, so they bury the important information late in the piece. The TV shows just give the Tories an easy ride in the main, people bang on about democracy yet are willing to vote for a party that uses the media as a propaganda machine. The BBC don't even try to hide the fact these days and why should they, your normal voter has been dumbed down and turned into a national patriotic flag waving cunt. Those who have always voted Tory are not going to change their mind, they don#t give a shit about anything other than themselves.

I don't know how the BBC do it on an editorial basis, some of their coverage can be ok and certainly people like Marr are trying to get answers out of these cunts. But the key for me is maybe not shows like Marr themselves, most people aren't watching them and are getting their news from one of the two evening bulletins. This is where the BBC need not to let them off the hook. Show clips where they're squirming and refusing to answer, instead of letting them get away with their sound bites. I think as the written press is getting less and less influential, the BBC's news is more important than ever, especially for the over 40's.
