Rodgers' rant. Is he cracking up???

I'm fucking made up Rodgers came out and slagged the officials after that. A truly shocking refereeing performance that deserved to be pulled. I'd have been more disappointed if Rodgers hadn't said anything after that. He didn't give us anything, even the little decisions not one went our way.

 

Anyone defending Johnson after that performance needs a word. I think he stopped one cross coming into our box in the whole game. He was absolutely shocking and has been for weeks.

 

On the whole though it was a great team performance and we deserved a result. But you can't go away to City and concede sloppy goals and miss gilt edge chances.

Alot of talk about Johnson. Going forward he is ace is what you hear - 9/10 a third of the time. Somebody point out the dozen games over the last year where he has been at the head of the class.

Johnson's form isn't great but I am pretty confident that it will improve. It will probably help that Flanagan will now be pressuring him for his place when Enrique returns. God knows what is going on with Kelly though.

I think people on here are being a bit hard on Skrtl. He made a couple of fantastic blocks on Negredo and Toure that may have cost us.

No doubt he needs to smarten up with his wrestling in the box. Surely someone must be having a word before it's too late.

He's in the first eleven on merit. Him and Sakho are doing well.

Agree 100%. Its fucking stupid defending. Hustle and Bustle is all part of it, but he needs to concentrate on winning the ball rather than concentrating on trying to stop his man from jumping.

I don't disagree, but his defending on set pieces has always been woeful. It's his biggest weakness.

Maybe, but what people dont seem to realise is that Kompany is holding Skrtel as much as he's getting held himself, and actually even more so as he has his forearm on Skrtel's chest holding him down in his collar. The difference being Kompany does it in a much more subtle and smart way.

Anyway, my hope is that the mental frailty we've suffered for god knows how many years is being death with. Yes we lost but so what, we just have to keep going and win as many games as we can. For too long we've allowed setbacks to badly affect us, I have a feeling that Rodgers understands this and is getting to grips with it.
