Hasn't there been some suggsetions in the Portugese media of Simao not actually being injured? Just kicking off a bit because of them not allowing him to move. Doubt it's true, don't think he would refuse to play in their clubs biggest game for a while.

Thats the correct answer. Simao has apparently said he wants to move Benfica know we need a right midfielder so if they turn us down then yes we will go elsewhere and unless someone else buys him they have an unhappy player on there hands.

Simao wants to leave Benfica "to play in a more competitive league", the chairman has said he can go for £12 million

 

All their qualification does is stop us getting him at a lower price than £12 million (personally I think we are going to have to pay over the odds for any right winger we eventually buy)

 

Unless Simao has a U-turn and decides to stay (this might mean him missing the boat completely) I think it will still go through

He'll be fine by the new year, he is probably staying "injured" til the new year before he joins us, so he doesn't get any serious injuries.

Who has 1 good game every 3-4. Would be amazed if Joaquin signed for us has i think Simao is much more a Rafa kind of player then Joaquin + Red Nick as said Rafa doesnt rate him and he should know. ;)

he plays on the left for benfica, he has got a lot of goals from there and influences the games alot. he is right footed though and did play on the right for barca hence he would give rafa a lot of options

He is right footed, and has also played on the right of course. But he's also played a number of times on the left for Benfica.
