Coronavirus could prevent Liverpool from winning the Premier League title

They have to start allowing 5 subs. The clubs in England against it are pussies.

It was bad when they did it only after the Covid return, it was inconsistent to do that in the course of a season. But now they have to implement it.

That's something that should have been in place from the start of the season, not as a mid-season response to rising Covid cases and games being called off due to lack of numbers.

Next season, don't even put it to a vote. Tell the naysayer clubs earning millions off the back of the pull of the likes of Liverpool that it's 5 subs or fuck off out of the league. And it's up to 5 subs in no more than 3 'windows of opportunity' to bring subs on, so the timewaster brigade don't take the piss taking 2 minutes 5 times per game to make their changes.

No,I dont agree. It's very easy supporting one of the top clubs who have the luxury of saying this, but anything that continues to give richer clubs more advantages just takes the game further away from fans. It all goes back to the incompetency of the football authorities, the PL especially.

Palace tried to get their game against Spurs called off last night, briefing that 2 backroom staff had tested positive. They made an official request to the PL to call the game off this morning and the PL rightly said fuck off.

But it shows how some clubs are trying to game the system during the heavy Christmas schedule. I dont think any of us are surprised as well all know asking players to perform twice in 48 hours makes the games a bit of a lottery.

Leeds next game vs Villa has already been called off.

Gerrard will not be there as he has Covid.

Vieira is missing today as well.

They are not going to be able to complete this season.

Just postpone the Qatar World Cup. Start next season later freeing up time to complete the current one. Piece of piss, sorted.

Looking at the palace side it is their first 11. They have 5 senior players on the bench.

Not sure why they even asked for a postponement

Just trying it on...although can't blame teams way the league has dealt with this.

Its a joke....the sporting integrity of league is shot to fuck and the title has been handed to the oil cheats.

I think what helps city in their title quest is the way sides roll over for them. You can see it with the way teams line up against them.

It as been proven over the last few years that you can actually rattle them and given the amount of physical teams who get in your face in this league I'd have thought we'd have seen more of it.

Teams who beat city are normally good defensively and quick and ruthless on the counter. It only takes one defensive slip or something good from city and the game plan is out of the window. I don't think it's too dissimilar with us at our best, we've just been a little sloppy defensively at times this season.

WTF is going on with this??

Newcastle are now looking to beg off the next few because of injuries.

They had 8 days between their last two games.

They apparently have more unvaccinated players than any other club (or did earlier this season). They have some covid in the ranks, which I'm guessing means the unvaccinated are unavailable as they need to self isolate. And they lost saint-maximine and Wilson to injury against the Salford lot last night.

I thought a club was supposed to be financially self supporting?

"Chelsea’s accounts state they are “reliant on Fordstam Limited for its continued financial support”. The company is owned by Roman Abramovich, and has indicated it will continue to support the club “for the foreseeable future”. As well as winning the Champions League for the second time, Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final."

There's obviously going to be loads of this over the coming months when it includes the season with nobody in the grounds.

Sorry, did I say Klopp?  I meant Conte.

And Smith.

And Guardiola.

And Viera.

Didnt Rodgers adress this as well?

Well what do they know anyway. I trust a pundit more. One of those that used to play in the eighties when you could go out on the piss a couple of times a week and get away with it.
