The insinuations in this post are really deeply unpleasant. It's also nonsense, given that tax rates in Israel, where most Jewish people would probably flee to, are higher than they are here.

What was insinuated? Deeply unpleasant. Do fuck off with that. Where have all the false anti-semitic allegations and smear come from? I'm not saying they don't exist and genuine anti-semitism is awful but there have been so many lies since Corbyn as PM became a real probability it makes you wonder. I certainly have explored a large number of reasons why. Tax just happens to be something else that needs considering.

Re: tax in Israel. Can you show me evidence that the super rich get taxed heavier over there than over here?

Jewish people make up 20% of the Sunday times Uk rich-list. Tax for the super- rich under Labour will be harsher than under the tories and Corbyn has stated this time and time again. Its a fair point to make. More than fair. People shouldn't be scared of mentioning things like this without fear of someone 'insinuating' it is anti-semitic.

Any reason you’re doubting him?

I'm not doubting him because as far as I'm aware, he's not made any comment but something just doesn't seem right.

Described as a 'senior rabbi so I'd guess he's getting on a bit.

Was repeatedly punched by two teenagers. Then thrown to the ground where the beating continued and only stopped when a female member of the public intervened.

He was left collapsed on the pavement, bleeding and dazed where he lay for several minutes.

No reports of an ambulance being called.

No reports of a 999 call being made or police attending the scene.

Rabbi not yet known but has since flown back to Israel and then onto the USA.

No comment that we know of from the member of the public who intervened.

The only people making comments about the attack are Shomrim security.

Not for Roman Abramovic. 10 year exemption with no declaration required.

Eeeeeek...

Audrey White spoke to Rodger Phillips on radio merseyside phone in today. Listen to this from 6 mins 45 seconds in.

Not much later in the same programme, someone called in to accuse the bbc of anti Labour bias of which Phillips was having none of it.

I just think you should know better than to assume that the concerns of Jewish people, many of whom have been involved in the labour movement for decades, are not legitimately held (irrespective of whether you think them valid or not), but are secretly motivated by the fear of losing money.

Well, the super-rich play by different rules to the rest of us, don't they. It stinks, but it needs international coordination for the situation to be properly addressed.

I don't know what the concerns are. Of-course I don't Strontz. My point being though that it is a  fair question because the amount of false anti-semitic claims and smears over the last 18 months. It has been a daily militant attack since Corbyn proposed tax increases on the rich. Jews make up around .5% of the UK population but hold about 20% of the times rich list. I'm not coming out with some Rothschild conspiracy shite at all, I am simply posing it as something to think about.

Its not a dig at the Jewish religion, more a pondering that certain people could be using their religion and falsely shouting anti-Semitism in order to help protect their own assets. Im not saying thats the case but I'm not scared of questioning it. What other explanations can you give for the amount of anti-semitic rubbish spouted about Corbyn? It really is weird. In a sick way.

Fuck me SD, if I was set to lose 20 million extra quid to tax under a Corbyn government I might accuse him of once trying to have a 3 way with me and my old dog.

Something that is just preposterous because everyone knows he is a cat man.

Ta for that. Good for her. She also put the current situation into words far more eloquently than I can.

Fuck me, that's dodgy ground.

If you want to question an individual's greed and amorality - whether that's Philip Green, Roman Abramovic or whoever - then that's fair enough  (without any reference to religion or ethnicity). Once you start counting what proportion of the Rich List - who are, let's face it, the closest there is to an evil cabal running the world  - are Jewish, you're tapping straight into some deep-rooted anti-Semitic traditions.

Best not to do that.

For what it's worth, I think that the concerns of most of the high-profile (former) party members who claim that the party is suddenly institutionally anti-Semitic are not legitimately held. They are lying about racism, because what they really fear is the growth of a democratic Socialism that they have always opposed.

This is what I am wondering. The tax angle is one of many that can be considered. People shouldn't be scared of asking these questions when the people being questioned are lying about anti-semitism!

Im probably not articulating my point as well as I should be but I know what the fuck I mean.

I just finished listening to that section with my missus. Fuck me that was a depressing listen. The line that the Tories have been using “Jewish MPs have been bullied out of the party” has been proven to be a lie. There is even a recording to back her up. And she’s right... the biggest victims in this smear are Jewish community. I genuinely feel for her. So sad that no mainstream media is interested to publish the truth. Begs the question though, why did they do it? For what purpose? Why motivated the Jewish Chronicles to publish four articles to smear this lady?

It's mad. I was accused on here of being antisemitic for slagging off Louise Ellman. It now transpires that any criticism was warranted as there are now two clear instances when she's told damaging lies, as well as her not challenging the claims of other's that she was "forced out" of the Labour Party. Which are now demonstrably untrue.

Thank fuck for that. For a second there, I thought you were going to ask what was I doing listening to the Rodger Phillips moan in. Phew!
