And the EU helped reduce that inequality more than our own governments, never mind offering different ideas on stuff like health, education and safety in the workplace. You've helped remove those and trusted it to rich elitist cunts who couldnt give a shit about their fellow citizens. Well done on that count.

The stats don't support your claims. The rich are getting richer and the wealth gap is growing.

Also just because someone has more money than you it doesn't make them your elite.

I realize that our own government did their utmost to increase inequality in our country but if you truly believe the eu reduces inequality amongst it's citizens you are deluded.

The policy of the eu has been and is an elite capitalist philosophy. It's why youth unemployment amongst eu member states is through the roof.

The EU is a conglomerate of the politics of all its members. The UK is the most neoliberal member and is the main driving force behind any EU neoliberal tendencies.

Expect more of it in the UK without the more liberal influences of the other EU members.

Cloggy knows.

How can a country who is leaving the EU because of amongst other things immigration be called the most neoliberal while the EU is going to different it's heals in over this issue?

I am not wading into this argument but I am a bit confused?

Edit: just looked on wiki and apparently it's all about privatisation and free trade.

Based on that free trade assumption it's no wonder the uk wants to leave the EU so it can trade with whomever it wants or after brexit whoever will.

Not really because your philosophy leads us to Cleggy.

How did Nick Clegg manage in his undesirable effort to turn back the right wing rhetoric of the last tory government?

Just a different shade of grey.

He didnt. Because he was a self serving lapdog and as good as a tory.

Kloppite, elite doesnt mean better,it simply means richer and more powerful than the rest of us. If their brains were dynamite they wouldnt be able to blow their hats off.

As I posted earlier in this thread if you ask people from former communist states they will tell you that it's the same people still in power just like it is in Russia. They will also tell you that there were people (champagne socialists) who were very very wealthy in those countries and they are still there today much like Russia. A leopard doesn't change its spots.

If you think they are your elite because they are wealthy and they have 'power' then that's your prerogative. Personally I don't crave power nor wealth so I don't see them as my elites.

I am not in competition with anyone I am happy with what I have got and make do.

There are people in thd world a lot worse of than me; some of them probably a lot more wealthy (cash wise) and some more powerful than me.

Dunno where you get this nonsense from

We're one of the richest countries in the world by pretty much every yardstick

True, this wealth is very concentrated at the top but that's due to our Governments rather than Europe

In fact, your Leave vote will go to concentrate the wealth even more in the top 1% so well done for that

Nice one etc

Tell them how rich we are

Why do you think my use of the word 'elite' means I am in awe of these fuckwits? You have obviously never read a single one of my posts nor read my online signature. Mind you its hard keeping up with your multiple identities so I will let it pass.

There is only one me.

It's a bit like someone who claims to be heterosexual but they keep talking about cock. Everything is somehow referenced to cock and cock is always brought into the conversation somehow.

Aah, you're doing that thing again, where you ignore whatever point I made, pluck something completely unrelated out of the air and then argue against that.

OK.

Fucking Hell

I'll explain this using short words so you might get it

We, as in the UK, which is short for the United Kingdom and has England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in it is a very, very rich country.

Our Government is shit and full of bad people and because of that the money isn't spread very evenly. There are a few very very rich people and lots of very very poor people. These very very poor people struggle to afford even food so lots of foodbanks have sprung up to help them. These foodbanks are run by mainly good people to help those less fortunate than themselves

But I thought the good ol e u of Europe would protect us from these things?

The facts are in your face, the the eu won't do fuck all, havnt done fuck all and never will do fuck all because they endorse these policies.

All a different shade of grey.

How the pendulum swings.

In the early 80s labour under Foot and Benn were well on course to defeat a deeply unpopular Thatcher govt which had brought record high unemployment. Both Foot and Benn were against us staying in the eu.

The Falklands war saw a wave of patriotic fever that swept Thatcher back into power.

Thatcher then used this flag waving hysteria to attack the eu, every right wing govt needs a bogeyman.

If Argentina had not invaded the Falklands it is more than likely the British people would have voted it's first socialist govt since the 1945 regime which brought us massive house building, apprenticeships for our youth and the NHS.

It is unlikely a 1984 labour govt under Foot and Benn would have seen the country stay within the confines of the eu.

Being against membership of the eu has never and will never be a policy owned by the British right wing.

They weren't going to leave the EU. It was also a time when those excesses of the thatcher government could have been reversed and we could have actually been a world leader in technology and skilled trades, but alas the turkeys did what they always do and the rest is history. I unequivocally trust the Germans, the Danes, the Dutch, the French to do more for the UK population than any UK government ever will, even by default. The UK has become the Taiwan of Europe and will continue to be the shithole of europe. It's great being the USAs bitches.
