iTunes Bullshit - Any ideas?

Just gone to sync my iPod Classic and after iTunes froze and wouldn't respond I now seem to be missing all 80Gb of music off my iPod.

Updated to the latest version of iTunes but every time I try and sync it is freezing. It's telling me that I need the drivers for my iPod but you get them updated through the iTunes panel don't you? Which I can't use, because it's fucking frozen.

If anyone can point out why I'm being a derp and that there's an easy fix I'm missing because I'm tecnholgolically quadospazzed then please shout up.

Do you have your music backed up? I'd delete the library file (not the music files), then (asumung you're in a Mac) hold the option/alt key when clcicking the dock icon, then selecting your music location (iTunes folder). Normally sorts issues.

Also, pray.
