Your first and last live gig

Got dragged to see Wheatus in 2001. I say dragged, I was into that type of bollocks at that age. First gig me and my mates went to without our mum's driving us was Biffy Clyro a few years later in Newcastle. Not a fan of them now either.

Haven't been to a gig since 2011 when I see Yuck. Also in Newcastle. I've been to see mate's bands and festivals since, but not counting them.

Made plans to go see Deerhunter and Warpaint this year, both cancelled which I'm gutted about. And I was going to go see Future of the Left but my mate had to work and I had no coin to sort travel and accommodation so I had to sack it off. Equally gutted, saw them in 2009 and they were boss.

Didn't have them money to buy tickets when they went on sale, but I'm gonna try and get Neutral Milk Hotel tickets from somewhere. Don't mind paying over the odds really.

I've been staring at the bit in bold for a few minutes and have yet to reach a conclusion as to how to react.

It's a saying my mum used about my ol fella (who she was married to for 24 years and hated for about 20 of them), basically you become sensible, not a twat and pretty much ace earlier than the rest of the gobshites your age.

It's a compliment.

Yeah, I'm happy to interpret it that way.
