Very disapointed with the attitude of G H after match last night,if the team you put out does not play well just admit it dont go blaming everthing from the pitch to other team being dirty . The tackle on kirkland was late but i dont think the lad went out to injure him , to moan about pitch makes him sound petty. as for our no7 ive seen some bad displays from him but last night must have even made G H realise the bloke just aint up to it , if there aint any better players at the club to play his position then we are in trouble.

The answer to number 2 is yes. He is also the only player to play in 5 European Cup finals if my memory serves me correctly.

Our 12 match unbeaten run at the start of the season began at Villa, who we play on Saturday. Two years ago we lost a Worthy Cup semi 1st leg at Palace then played Villa the following Saturday and won 3-0. I know this is desparation, but I have to try and be optimistic.

witch hunt

why are the media so obsessed with conducting a witch hunt against stevie g, lauren nearly snaps zolas leg in two with a nasty tackle, not a mention in the press! pilsbury dough boy puts steve vickers out for two weeks, the over exhuberence of youth!. its about time the press and f.a got off the lads back, and stop slagging him at every opportunity, or concocting charges against him, what about going after other players for a change who commit the same type of offence. lastly how many deliberate fouls does sally (sorry sol) campbell have to commit before he gets booked, like professional fouls (on baros) or deliberate hand ball (on kirkland. if it was stevie they would ha…

Its so fucking frustrating watching people like Vlad play well in the odd game, its time they realised its Liverpool thay are playing for not some shit team who settle for top five or six season after season. We need more strenth and depth coupled with experience. Fairplay, the likes of Mellor are super prospects but how long will we have to wait for glory. I think its about time we dug deep and splashed some cash for a proven world superstar be it Aimar whoever. Any thoughts?

I know it is probably just crap paper talk but I cant believe this speculation that houllier is going to swap heskey for davies of tottenham? Surely he is one of geds favourites and so a swap would not be on? And Davies is being linked to man utd for 6 million, so are people saying that is all heskey is worth? Dont get me wrong i dont mind davies, but not sure about this swap stuff. What do people reckon?

Man To Watch vs United

Man To Watch vs Sheff Utd: Michael Tonge When Neil Warnock was handed the job of managing the club he had supported all his life, his stated ambition was that of leading Sheffield United back into the highest division of English football. Yet he was faced with the endemic problem of modern football: lack of money. A problem partially solved by his eye for talent and ability to spot a bargain. But to move up the league ladder, you need that little bit of quality that is rarely available on the cheap. Fortunately for Warnock, United already had in place a productive youth system. And it is through this system that his biggest headache was solved. When Michae…

Some1 is spreading a rumour that there is unrest in the squad between Houllier and some players. Have you heard anything along these lines?? Seems like bullshit to me. I understand if you cannot say anything. The guy spreading the rumour claims he got it from a first team player.

"The fans were magnificent.....who else would bring that many during a bad run, freezing cold day.....it is those supporters i listen too, not the ones on phone-ins." Damn right Gerard. These arse wipes on the phone ins are giving us a bad name and everyone there yesterday gave our true opinion. We got behind gerard and the players the way it should be no matter what and no matter what reservations you have. Now lets all do it again on wednesday (can we have a few more justice chants though, seeing as it is that south yorkshire police scum)

...but (after considered thought) I want the manager to go. Just too many signals that we are on a proper downward spiral - with the predominent reasons being managerial fuck-ups. The tactics in the Champions League, the ineptitude of the "good for the future" signings, the selling of hard-working committed (and skilful) future England players - the list is fucking endless! How much more evidence do we need that Le Boss has lost the plot? No hidden agenda - I want a better manager and LFC should have the capability to find one. And to think that the major problem at the start of the season appeared to be a funny-haired portugese ex-bitter full back!

i agree, get rid of smicer, vignal, diouff and diao (big disappointments), berger, diomede, heggam. bring back ritchie partridge, sign pablo aimar, or francesco totti, as well as youngsters such as michael tonge and darren bent (he was excellent for ipswich at anfield). we are in desperate need of someone who can dictate play (a la redknapp)and one who can stretch defences from wide positions (partridge and bent). we need new ideas all the way through the club, so bring back gary mac as assistant manager (to eventually take over)

It was the same hype for the league game. People saying that this is where Anelka will show Houllier he made a mistake (was same for Robbie aswell last season). And what happened in those games?

Just been reading their obituary to Albert Stubbins. It says he will always be remembered for a spectacular diving header in the 1950 cup final. Er, didnt we lose that game 2-0. The header they are referring to came in the 6th round against Birmingham in 1947. How the fuck do some of these people ever get so far in journalism?

I totally agree with that tim. Wembley should retain a special mythical status, it should be an honour to play there and be a place for winners. The FA are desperately trying to reviatlise the cup, but this is a backward step. Its hardly going to give any neutrality to ties either. Imagaine we get Arsenal, are we really going to take 45,000 to a semi final in London?
