Anyone see Panorama  last night ? BBC Savile The Power to Abuse. Don't remember the BBC giving it much exposure leading up to it. But then again, why would they ? No surprise to hear Edwina Curry say 'it wasnt odd that Savile had keys and was in and out of Broadmoor on a regular basis'.

I watched it. Quite shocking really how he hid for so long in plain sight. I thought he was a weird talentless prick that was way past his sell by date at the time and just wondered what the fuck people saw in him. Back in the day though TV and Radio personalities used to go on for fucking ever never mind how excrutiatingly shite they were so Savile on the box every 5 minutes was par for the course.

As for Edwina Curry its hard to see what she could have done to stop someone that was on first name turns with Thatcher  . The fucking bloke was untouchable ,sadly his victims weren't.

I suspect she had absolutely no say in the matter. Currie would have been sacked before Savile knowing what we now know despite her bravado about taking the keys off him had she been aware of any complaints.
