They aren't, they're making a film of the book "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" which Total Recall was very loosely based on. It's just got the same name.

 

That sounds very spurious.

 

Almost like saying Tim Burton's Ape travesty wasn't a remake of the film, but a film version of the Pierre boulle novel.

Oh yeah, Predator could have been a very different film. In fact it was probably saved by the fact that Stan Winston Studios came after production broke down and completely revamped the creature and effects and stuff.

 

No coincidence that Winston was also responsible for the success of a few other forum favourites around here, namely Aliens and Terminator.

Commando was my absolute favourite as I was 12 when i saw it first and thought he was the f*cking man. I thought all of his 80's and most of his 90's films were boss though.
