Where is the evidence to say he doesn't?

Quite right. This forum has a longstanding tradition whereby if an allegation is made against a member of any opposing team (or pretty much anyone we don't like), the burden of proof shifts to the person against whom the allegation has been made, and that person must show that he/she does not indulge in the behaviour alleged.

You all say you hated him the day he signed for United? I didn't care too much about that. When he said Liverpool's in his blood, he's gonna sign a new contract then walked out on us a week later for a third of what we should have gotten for him was the day I despised him. Even if he'd returned a year later, never would have been the same. His replacement, Luis Garcia will always be a legend in my books. Owen's always cared about England first and foremost, he's had his chance to return to Liverpool, and pussied out into joining Newcastle, bullet dodged for us. If we'd got him, we most likely wouldn't have gotten Torres who may have gone to the mancs, Torres is far greater than Owen ever was.

JUDAS.

Him and McManaman.

The success of this principle on TLW actually means that it will soon be introduced in the British legal system in terrorism cases.

Ascot's like Rustenburg.

It's full of arrogant white people, with weird accents and dodgy clobber.

If it wasn't for the vuvuzelas and "incompetent" security you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

that's a sweeping statement to make- I take it you've been there?

Owen is put to shame by Torres, a Spaniard having to come over here and show Owen how it's done at LFC.

Don't think it was fair regarding Macca, we messed him around big time as far as I'm aware, not offering him a contract, trying to sell him to other clubs behind his back, yeah he was shit for his last season but we'd treated him like shit, must have been a headfuck, he worked as hard as anyone and wasn't a selfish cunt like Owen, same as we did with Robbie later under Houlllier.

Twas a joke.

You sound like a scouser with thin skin like that.

A great post up until the end. Although I was anti-McManaman for leaving us, I wouldn't put him in quite the same bracket as Owen.

He's more of an Alonso: Roy Evans tried to sell him to Barcelona (and they shafted him if I remember correctly - didn't they just not pick him at the airport cos it was a smoke screen to sign Ronaldhino?). But anyway, he wasn't going to stay where he wasn't wanted.

He then did an Alonso and had a great season which (like Aonso) made the decision to sell him look like folly.

I understand where you're coming from, but for me McManaman should be merely stoned to Owen's upside-down crucifixion.

EDIT

Didn't see Dennis' post. Point already made. I thought he had a good final season, though? Memory's fading.

And as a final point, why "gotten"? What a horrible word!
