I see you got the big man tied down for another few years.

I love Wilfork,great player

It's a three year deal on paper but with all the guaranteed money in the first year it's really only a 1 year deal.

It's a lot of weight to put on a dodgy knee so if he doesn't play well he's unlikely to make it to camp next year.

Still with him and Mayo back, revis and browner in the secondary, hightower and jones a year older and, hopefully, Jamie Collins building on his end of season the defence could give the offense more time on the field.

A really interesting piece on the Rape claims and FSU and Tallahassee Police lack of investigations.

On a Saints site I post on there has been talk of players maturity and how some are treated as children still or lack any sense that they are responsible for there actions. Well if this report is correct it shows why that may be the case. Anyone not on a sports team would be investigated and would stand trial for these crimes when its a football player they are covered up and allowed to go on and probably do it again.

I dont have kids but i can only imagine what I would do if a family member suffered at the hands of animals that think this is ok ( not talking about this case inparticular) but I can tell you said persons would not be playing prosports and enjoying life again.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well only a few days till the draft now.

Who does everyone want there teams to draft.

The Saints have a few needs in a new Centre and back ups across the offensive line and possibly could do with another OLB to rotate with Junior

Galette,Haralson,Butler. But i think the biggest needs are at wide receiver. Colston body is starting to give up on him and even now the coaches are saying he probably will not train much during the week to keep him ready to go,Lance Moore is gone,Joe Morgan cant stay fit and that only leave Nick Toon who has done nothing and Kenny Stills who looks a star.Still no Jimmy Graham deal though everyone thinks it gets done soon after the draft.

Did a mock draft the other day and ended up with

27
WR BRANDIN COOKS
OREGON STATE

58
WR DONTE MONCRIEF
OLE MISS

91
G CYRIL RICHARDSON
BAYLOR

126
RB DRI ARCHER
KENT STATE
167
C BRYAN STORK
FLORIDA STATE

169
ILB ANDREW JACKSON
WESTERN KENTUCKY

202
CB AARON COLVIN
OKLAHOMA

would be happy with that.

So many good prospects at WR this year that will go from mid 1st round to round 4,even some interesting players in late rounds.

Brandin Cooks,Jordan Matthews,Allen Robinson,Jarvis Landry,Odell Beckham jnr,Kelvin Benjamin,Marquies Lee,Donte Morcrief all in the early stages

Kevin Norwood,Devin Street,Cody Latimer,Mike Davis(Texas),Paul richardson,Martavius Bryant,Jared Abberderis all look interesting in the mid to late rounds.

The Browns could go one of any number of ways. Personally, I'd avoid a QB at 4 and would like to take Robinson (if he's there), if not then Khalil Mack, then Watkins (order of preference).

At 26 I think we're looking for a QB, possibly Carr possibly Teddy B.

Would also be up for a trade down to around no 10, possibly draft a CB and pick up another 2nd rounder.

Would love to get WR Abberideris late in the 3rd or 4th round.

Abberideris looks a great fit in the slot, great route runner by all reports i have left.

I don't think he will ever be a massive star but will be a Lance Moore style effective 3rd down wr.

That St Louis trade with Washington looks better everytime you see it.

I do not see RG3 being in the league a real long time as he knees have taken so many knocks over the past 5 years i think he is going to have to be kept in the pocket and though he is a good passer he looses so much of his game if you have to keep him there.

That trade

In the end, the Rams received Washington's No. 6 and No. 39 overall picks in 2012, its No. 22 pick in 2013 and its first-round pick in 2014. By trading back further, the Rams picked up even more picks. In 2012, the picks from Washington and the resulting moves procured Michael BrockersJanoris Jenkins, Isaiah Pead and Rokevious Watkins.

In 2013, Washington's first-round pick (and another trade back) became Alec OgletreeStedman Bailey and Zac Stacy.

Thus far, that is seven players for one

And still have the Redskins number 2 pick this year which if the Texans dont take Clowney you can bet the Rams trade down with the Falcons and pick up this years 6th,probably next years number 1 or this years round 2 and 3 maybe even 4

I still have no idea what the thinking was behind moving the draft back a couple of weeks. If anything it should have been earlier than before.

It's like waiting for Christmas in mid-January <shudders>.

Cowboys need a good first round pick (Donald would be the best)

Radio City hall was booked for some easter spectacular is the excuse they are using.

Not buying it myself as they are now talking of moving it and extending to 4 days. Its Goodell trying to go head to head with the NBA playoffs and extending the season.

What could go wrong with the Cowboys draft, you have GM/Owner extraordinaire Jerry Jones at the helm.
