OK, they are a very good team, so that's the main thing to say... but my goodness, our midfield looks pedestrian out there. Henderson, Milner, Can. Nah!

 

You could accommodate one, arguably two of them, so long as the other fella was imperious. But as a three they are all so meh! There's not enough there. Keep Milner as the elder statesman, but not as a regular. Keep Can, as he is the youngest and has the highest ceiling if he improves more. Sell Henderson, as he's a decent player and will fetch a decent price, but he's on a par with the others and we need someone who will drag them up to another level. Replace Henderson with the imperious midfielder we need, and all of a sudden we will look much better in the middle. 

 

After the great midfields we've enjoyed over the years, even in recent years, it's so noticeable how fall we have fallen in that department.
