he's definatly 5th choice in Madrid- behind ronaldo,raul,morientes and solari - solari jarred his knee after 10 mins and its Morientes that came on - was listening to Guy Balegue and he reckons that madrid don't know what owen can do ,or just how good he is -

I know its early season ,esp in spain but I wonder if owen is a little pissed off with the choice he made !!

Could well see him off out of there at the end of the season!!! wonder what the odds are of him doing a Rushie ??

The new manager might place him further up the pecking order, I heard he is touting GH for the job :-)

Rushie had an excellent season before he left and went on good terms. Bit late for Michael to do that. I only want him back if he improves beyond recognition on the last couple of years, adds several new dimensions to his game, regains that yard or two of pace, stays clear of injury for a full season and costs less than we sold him for.

 

Maybe Ricky Parry could also insist on him saying 'It is my dream to play for Liverpool' as Perez does to every Real arrival (with the necessary word change).

 

He won't get anything like the same patience or favouritism he did from GH at Real, and the fans will be on his back if he doesn't deliver. When he was taken off against Espanyol, Camacho didn't look at him, and there was no Sammy Lee to tell him how great he is, even though he's missing one on one's like they're going out of fashion. It was just 'get off and sit down'.

 

That said, when I watch him play for them, I instinctively want him to do well and hope he makes a go of it there. I'm just glad he hasn't had a good start or it would have been rubbed in our faces.

I think he will eventually come back to England, but not to us.

 

He made it clear his heart was not with the club anymore with his 'playing for away' form last season.

 

I would rather look to the future and who Rafa can turn into a new legend.

Little bit different at Real for Mickey- after five games the Bernebeu are booing Real BEFORE the match, gassed Camacho and were lucky to scrape by Osasusna9(sp?). At LFC, it took five years for booing and five+ years to "sack" the manager.
