  9. Totally agree, Wayne. Didn't hear any complaints in the away end yesterday when the two upfront were read out. Fate decided that the world class Alonso would have a nightmare of a game. And Hamann and Rise were worse than 2 men down. Saw their second on Sky today and it was deffo on. Onwards and upwards.
  10. Larsson did his Fibia and Tibula too....... He was out for 7 or 8 months (I think), but came back just as good.... Here's hoping Cisse's back just as quickly....
  11. Alright Stephen, There's a good stall round the Anny Road end......just before the gates.....coming from the King Harry pub.... Deffo has half n half Celtic scarves.... The Irish lads who sit behind us have them. Failing that, I'll have a look in the memorabilia room......bought a few half n halves in the early 80's at Anfield for schoolmates who were of that persuasion. Moment of weakness, I think they call it  Let us know if you're strugglin...
  12. Spot on. Rafa can only piss with the cock he's got... What were people expecting ? We've been shite for 2 years. He's already moved on some of the team.......and without doubt would punt another half dozen tomorrow if he could.
  13. Top post, mate. Would take him back in a heart beat. But would Rafa ?
  14. Went to the game last night... Got taken for my sins :>) Larsson got pelters all night. We were sitting to the right of the dug out and when he went to warm up, the abuse he took was fuckin pathetic. Sweet as fuck when he scored. And only bettered, when some of the, ahem, greatest fans in the world, upped and left as it hit the net.
  15. The story's ran since......what.... Sunday ? It's been printed everyday since.........in all the papers........ and been on Sky Sports news 24/7. All he has to say is it's shite and he's staying/was never leaving. Problem solved. Over to you, Stevie.
  16. Correct. Who the fuck outside London and the M25 gives a fuck about Chelsea....... Worldwide Club ? (snigger) Does he honestly believe Roman's here for the long hall ? If it was The Arse or top flight abroad then fair enough. But FFS Chelsea ??? If there's no truth in it, why no denial ? He'll more than know what's gettin reported back here. So if it's true.....fuck 'im. How much money does one man need.
  17. From The BBC. O'Neill in second libel win. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has won "substantial" undisclosed libel damages over a newspaper report that he was leaving the club to join Liverpool FC. It is the second time the football boss has successfully sued over false rumours about his future. This latest libel case was brought after a Daily Record article which was published on 7 February last year. Publishers, the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail Limited, accepted the claims were "without foundation". Mr O'Neill's solicitor, Paul Hackney, told Mr Justice Eady at London's High Court that the paper's piece questioned his client's loyalty and commitment to Celtic and his integrity. The article alleged that the Scottish club manager had signed a legal document to join Liverpool and that agreement had been reached with the Premiership club before he announced his new contract with Celtic. 'Let the matter rest' Mr Hackney said: "These allegations which questioned his loyalty and commitment to Celtic and integrity were republished widely through the print and broadcast media and have caused Mr O'Neill to issue further denials in the media that evening and in the following weeks. "These allegations have caused great distress and anxiety to Mr O'Neill". The court was told that the Daily Record accepted that the story should never have been published. Mr O'Neill was "pleased to accept" the newspaper's offer of an "unqualified apology" and "a substantial sum in damages" to settle his libel action, Mr Hackney added. The Celtic manager considered he had been "properly vindicated" and was now "content to let the matter rest", he concluded. In December 2001, Mr O'Neill won "substantial" but undisclosed libel damages from The Observer newspaper which had alleged that he was set to leave the club for Manchester United. Its article alleged that Mr O'Neill had held secret talks with Manchester United and reached an informal agreement about taking over from current boss, Sir Alex Ferguson.
  18. I think he's here for another year. I don't think they even WANT to sack him let alone have to consider it. And after the last two years culminating in Sunday's performance, that is truly fuckin scary, lads. Protests - Agree with you in theory Hermes but would they really work ? Can only see one way that would have the necessary effect and that's for people to vote with their feet...... stay away in their thousands. But we all know, that's never gonna happen. Dark days indeed.
  19. Fair enought, Tom. I take on board what you're saying. But last night, O'Neill took a 19 year old, Celtic youth goalkeeper (Marshall), a 19 year old, Celtic youth centre half (Kennedy), a 200 grand left midfielder from Motherwell (Pearson) an ex Sunderland reserve (Varga) and a fifty grand buy from Hibs (Agathe) along with his other Premiership rejects and dumped the mighty Barcelona out of the Cup. A team that were unbeaten in 9 games in all comps. Aye, they defended and hoped for the counter attack of Larsson, but it got the nod of approval when Houulier did it. What O'Neills done in Europe for Celtic (not talking about the Scottish league) having had only 20 million to spend in 3 and a bit years is fantastic. I used to think of him as a route 1, dull-as-fuck, disaster - i said as much to Dave U over a year ago - and to be fair, when he first arrived after Barnes and Dalglish, he did just that. But then i watched his side play Juventus, Ajax, Valencia, Lyon and Bayern Munich amongst many others, completely off the park, playing up tempo, attractive, brilliant football. They were only 7 minutes away from the Champions league, remember. His stock is now sky high and if Houllier or Ranieri had done the job he's doing on a financial shoestring over 40 months, they'd rightly be lauded as brilliant. But i think that's the problem, here. He once managed (a successful) Leicester playing route 1 and i think the mud's stuck.
  20. Absolutley spot on, fella. So who better to motivate them ,Tom, than your old mate, Marty O'Neill :>) Go on, you no you want to :>)
  21. Due to my mate's wife and new born premature baby both being in Intensive Care.......... Two seats for the game on Saturday. £60 all in. Includes recorded delivery post. Let me know asap. 07958 684 382. Rob.
  22. Can either post (recorded delivery) or meet at Chelsea on Wednesday night. 07958 684 382. Won't be online till tomorrow now so phone the moby.
  23. John, that's what you notice the most. Houllier sitting on his arse, mumbling to himself, sinking deeper and deeper. Clueless. Strachan showed more fire and rage in 5 minutes yesterday than GH has done in 5 years. And Southampton were already 2 up. __________________ rob grant
