When is the thread starter going to change the title to 'Ok I was wrong, he's fucking ace'?

Never, he was saying he's always been ace.

Which was equally wrong...

This is shit..

We waited for years for him to come good, and now when he absolutely walks the league, he gets a long-term injury.

We saw with Aaron Ramsey that after that kind of injury, it can take a year before you can play without fear again, and that is one Lucas' best qualities at the moment, his fearlessness and competitiveness.

Bugger, chances of any team finishing in the top 4 without our 2 best midfielders must be pretty slim.

Lucas has always played well in the games against the top teams. I think our run of 3 games with City and Chelsea have showcased him in such games that really show him at his best, coupled with him playing really well and having grown in stature and confidence.

However, my reservations were about him in the other games when we've got lots of the ball and have to take the game to the oppo.

This injury is a loss to the team, but nowhere near the level of missing Gerrard, Suarez or Reina.

One of his best games for us this season was against Bolton.
