Thought he was good too. (but yes he had faults, I know he wasn't perfect.) For the 100th time will point out the way that he repeatedly got brought off by Rafa around the 60th minute in games, (even to the point that we clearly saw him mouth "Aw fuck off!" when being brought off in one game.) so must have felt rushed to perform more than most other players. No dig at Rafa, I love the guy and always will, but thought he got it wrong with Keane in a season where we could've done with his goal scoring ability to possibly nudge us towards the title after the jan window.

He never played at Newcastle away, Paulie. That was the game when everyone knew he was off when Rafa dropped him.

...after scoring 3 goals in his last 2 games.

His time here was the most shameful treatment of a Liverpool player by any coach in living memory. A political football from the time he arrived until the time he left. He's one of the top goalscorers at international level, and still has a lot to offer at club level, even if it has to be in another league.

Thought he would have been a great signing for us but it just didn't work out for him or us,and since us his career has basically gone down the pan, still only 30 i think a better move for him would be Celtic and if he wants to end up in the MLS go in 2-3 years (most big players go there in there early 30's)if he goes there now then he may as well wave good by to whats left of his career.

Most, including me, were happy when we signed him, but the main reservations came from Irish reds.

It wasn't just Irish reds that said he'd be shit and we shouldn't have signed him.

The season before we signed him Gerrard scored 20+ goals and set up 20+ goals playing just off Torres. Keane was bought when his best position was where Gerrard was playing but he was no where near as good.

One of Rafa's worst ever signings. His greatest ever deal selling a player mind.
