White House wanted USS John S. McCain obscured during Trump’s Japan visit

The White House asked Navy officials to obscure the USS John S. McCain while President Trump was visiting Japan, Pentagon and White House officials said Wednesday night.

A senior Navy official confirmed he was aware that someone at the White House sent a message to service officials in the Pacific requesting that the USS John McCain be kept out of the picture while the president was there. That led to photographs taken Friday of a tarp obscuring the McCain name, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

When senior Navy officials grasped what was happening, they directed Navy personnel who were present to stop, the senior official said. The tarp was removed on Saturday, before Trump’s visit, he added.

It does seem increasingly unlikely, as a species, that we can continue for much longer.

He's been described an an orang-utan in a suit.

Perhaps we're heading back to where we started.

Bar almost being able to speak a first language, I can't help but feel that he is quite a long way behind most orangutans.

Dissing the Mayor of the City who has invited you over to visit is about all you can expect from the Tangerine Twatspangle.

He's a worry.

He's either an evil genius or a senile arl biff.

The bit the other day when he denied calling Meghan Markle "nasty" and put it down to "fake news" despite their being a clear audio recording of him calling Meghan Markle "nasty" was one of my favourite bits from him.

That also made me think that the arl, senile biff hypothesis is more accurate.

I don't see a problem with that. Khan is an imbecile and he's dished it out enough to Trump in the last week. He was the one that sorted out the Baby Trump blimp last time.

Is right.

Khan's an utter cunt.  Though that goes hand in hand with being in the Labour party.

I don’t like Khan because he came out in support of Owen Smith, but why even lied?  It was crowdfunded.

Okay, then why lied about him “sorting it out” earlier?

He was the chair of the Greater London Authority and he allowed it to be flown during Trumps state visit. He made it happen, ergo he "sorted it out".

Allowing something to happen is quite a bit different to sorting something out. He played no active role in organising it. He allowed a ballon if himself in a bikini not long after FFS.

He did sort it because it was his decision for it to go ahead. He played an active role in it, hence sorting it out. Without him it wouldn't have been possible.

Without Sadiq Khan, if the people who actually sorted it out, followed the same process, then someone else would’ve approved it. There are actual rules and guidelines in all of this.

I dont think it was fair on him for you to make something up only for you to attack him.
