Winning 2 cups can NOT be a saving grace for Houllier. Cup form and league form are totally unrelated, and what is more important. Even if we win the 2 cups, which is extremely unlikely, the season is still a failure, as the target for this season was a championship challenge - simple as. Winning 2 cups would can not hide the fact that GH has taken us as far as he can, and cannot get the most out of a very talented group of players.

I never put that winning 2 cups is a saving grace for GH, I agree he has taken us as far as he can & if you look at my original post, I personally think the decision is already made for him to go in the summer, be it upstairs or away from Anfield. I just want him to be backed until the end of the season & if he wins us 2 more pieces of Silverware I'll be fucking Delighted, if you're thinking along the lines of: I don't want to win the cups so Houllier goes, then you're supporting the wrong team. LFC is all about winning things WHOEVER is at the helm, whether it be an ex-player or a ex blue I could'nt give a monkeys. Don't get me wrong I know the league form is disappointing but how many reds, hand on Heart thought we would challenge for the Title? I don't think their where that many. We need to get Owen signed & gat a few new players in, quality is always better than Quantity & thats been GH's problem, too many mediocre signings.

Come on Lets back the man, until the Seasons out & then see where we are.

We can only hope the season get's better.A consistant run of victories would be nice.

With the way we are playing and the number of games left, thats about 3 then.
